My fond memory from the
FOOD Carnival
The activities during the FOOD Carnival allowed me to interact with my peers and share our interests along the topic of food. I learned a bit more about foods I had never tried before while having conversations within the group.

Outside of group discussions, I really enjoyed watching what others had presented.
The general instructions were same for everyone but each one had their unique ways of presenting.
Activity: Cook a Tasty Tale
Out of all days during the week-long activity, I feel I enjoyed working on the final activity with my group members. We all brainstormed ideas for a story around a sandwich and then finally decided to present it in a long scroll comic.
Though I enjoyed reading comics in the past, it was my first try on illustrating a comic.
I was up until midnight finishing the comic while on call with another member in charge of coloring. When we two started out as a group, we had bonded over the fact that we both were extremely slow at finishing our own drawings. So, we were surprised when we managed to finalize it.
I also learned a bit more about working with others on digital platforms. I was still in the process of getting used to navigating around platforms like Microsoft teams and Google suite, and putting together the bits and pieces of our shared work took more effort.

Now when I look back, I feel we were a little too ambitious with some of our ideas, given the time frame. However, I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in these activities and the first interactions with peers and mentors will remain as memorable experiences for me.
